UJI FUDO (also known as "Uji of Uji") is a rare single-origin, single-garden ceremonial-grade matcha from Horii Shichimeien in Uji, Kyoto. Created to showcase the unique character of its growing environment, Uji Fudo represents the purity and elegance of Uji terroir through carefully cultivated tea leaves and traditional stone-milling craftsmanship.
The taste unfolds with delicate yet distinct umami, accompanied by a gentle natural sweetness and subtle aromatic complexity. Unlike heavier matcha profiles, Uji Fudo maintains a clear and elegant character, finishing with a clean, lingering aftertaste and virtually no harsh bitterness.
